UPDATE: Sunset Beach shooting ruled a suicide

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office says no foul play is suspected in the death of a 28-year-old mother of two in Sunset Beach.

Megan Tysinger was a long time Brunswick County EMS worker. Tysinger leaves behind daughters aged seven and four. Relatives say the younger girl was playing in the yard at the time of her mother's death.

Family says she had only moved to Sunset Beach about three weeks ago and that they are "completely blown away" by the death.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office initially responded to the scene on Sea Lane for a shooting.

I realize that emotions are running high, but don't be ignorant. You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. Why don't you wait for the evidence to be released before making such stupid remarks.

Death of Woman

This is really, honestly truly so sad. Can only wish and pray for the best for her family and may God be with them.

Crime Scene

My thoughts and prayers go out to this young ladies family. I have read all the blogs and understand many are in shock and can't believe this happened. I hate to see some pointing the finger at the husband. I'm sure BCSO is capable of investigating this scene. To come to this conclusion I sure they tested the deceased to see if she had GSR on her hands. Also, its possible they went in the crawl space to recover the bullets. The bottom line it was ruled a suicide and its a tragedy.
