WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- One Wilmington resident found out alcohol and guns don't mix.
Around 8:30 last night, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Kidder Street. They found 60-year-old Leonard Sanders there. Police say he was drunk and admitted to firing his gun off his front porch and into a tree in the front yard.
Sanders also told police the gun was in his home, as well as five additional rifles and shotguns. Officers placed the handgun into evidence and took the others for safekeeping.
Police arrested Sanders and charged him with discharging a firearm within the city limits. He posted bond and is out of jail.

Hugs are better than slugs
This goof ball is the poster child for gun control. He should be forced to apologize to the tree and give it a hug.
Shooting a Tree?
Wouldn't this man's actions be considered..."Treeson"?
Really???

It's actually one of MANY stories we're covering today.
I think the headline was fairly apparent. If you don't fancy what's in the headline, I would suggest not wasting your time clicking into the story.
