Fire damages downtown Wilmington home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- An afternoon fire damaged a house in downtown Wilmington.

The Wilmington Fire Department says no one was at the home in the 900 block of North 5th Avenue when it started.

The damage to the residence is about $75,000.

Investigators from the Wilmington Fire Department have determined the caused to be accidental, possibly related to an electrical failure in the ceiling.
