FUGITIVE FILES: Duo wanted for armed robbery of convenience store

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Bladen County Sheriff's deputies are looking for help finding two men who robbed a convenience store in East Arcadia overnight.

Deputies say it happened at the East Arcadia Party Lite at 24885 NC 87 E. just after midnight.

Investigators say the first suspect was a black male who appeared to be in his 30s, about 5'9" tall, weighing around 200 lbs. and wearing all black clothing. He had short hair and was wearing dark glasses. He entered and engaged the owner in conversation.

The second suspect was also a black male apparently in his 30s, about 5'10" and also wearing all black. The second man entered a few minutes after the first with a chrome-colored handgun.

Investigators say the men forced two customers to lie face down while they stole the cash register drawer and took it with them.

The second suspect fired one shot inside of the store during the robbery. No one was injured.

The suspects left toward Columbus County in an older model green Honda Accord.
