BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Brunswick County Sheriff's detectives have charged a man for allegedly attacking another man with a flashlight. Christopher Lane Wood Hodge is charged with assault with deadly weapon.

Saturday deputies and K-9 units were called to a Bolivia home, where a man had been attacked. Investigators say Kevin Thew, 56, suffered numerous injuries to his head, face, arm, and ribs. He was transported to the Brunswick Novant Medical Center for treatment and was later released.

Detectives got a warrant for Hodge yesterday and arrested him. He is out of jail under $30,000 bond.
