 BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- New information on the crash that killed a Bladen County Sheriff's deputy. Highway Patrol says Dep. Dewayne Hester was driving approximately 90 mph June 8 when he ran off the road and overcorrected to the left. He hit a tree and died. Hester was on duty responding to an assault with a deadly weapon call when he crashed.
