CB Farmer's Market is more than just fruits and veggies

Summertime is here, and that means fresh fruits and veggies straight from the farm to your table thanks to the Carolina Beach Farmer’s Market.

But the market that sets up around Carolina Beach Lake has lots more to offer, too. Local vendors set up shop every Saturday from eight in the morning to one in the afternoon. While you're strolling around the lake, you can pick up everything from pickles to pieces of art.

"It's just beautiful. You're at the lake, you're outside in this beautiful breeze,” said crafter and vendor Mary Anne Martin. “There are wonderful farmers that bring great produce, and you have all these lovely craft people that also give you good ideas to do things yourself."

Martin makes and sells yard art. Her hobby started as a gift for her sister, and folks liked it so much, she turned her creativity into a business.

The farmer's market runs each Saturday until October 13.

I just want to say that I

I just want to say that I have at least 5 of MAry Anne's yard art and love them. The Farmers Market has added another positive side to this Island Paradise. I feel very fortunate to live here on PLeasure Island.
