SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) -- TV and radio star Ryan Seacrest is sponsoring a contest for a walk-on role in his girlfriend's movie that's currently shooting in Brunswick County.
Julianne Hough stars in "Safe Haven," based on the book by Nicholas Sparks, with Josh Duhamel. The movie has been shooting for the last several weeks in Southport and Wilmington.
According to the entry form on Seacrest's website, the prize package includes roundtrip coach airfare for the randomly-selected winner and a guest "to a to-be-determined city for filming" for a walk-on role in "Safe Haven." The contest ends Sunday night.
Sparks has been running his own "Safe Haven" contest. It offers a trip to the set in Southport or a trip to the worldwide premiere of the film, which is scheduled to open February 8, 2013.
