BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A Brunswick County man died Monday after being shot with a shotgun.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, Wendall Padgett suffered a gunshot wound to his left side and was pronounced dead at the Sea Coast Hospital in South Carolina.
Initial indications are that the firearm discharged accidentally, however the Brunswick County Detective Unit is conducting an investigation.
It appears that no foul play was involved.
