 CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- "Food & Wine" magazine has ranked the Carolina Beach Boardwalk among the top 10 in the country. The magazine considered Carolina Beach's carnival rides, arcade games, food stands and, of course, Britt's Donut Shop. Other top boardwalks include Coney Island, Atlantic City and Disney World. This sounds nice and all,
This sounds nice and all, but there is no way possible that this could be true. The Carolina Beach boardwalk is very seedy, especially at night. It is very run down, and nowhere I would want my daughter or wife wandering around alone past dusk. That being said, the donut shop is great, but everything else is trashy, and needs to be blown up and reconstructed.
P.S- still love Carolina Beach, and am actually on my way there with my family today!
top ten?
Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean because I love my hometown, but there is no way, in any way, shape or form , that our boardwalk is in the top ten of all boardwalks. It is a disgrace and embarrassment to nice boardwalks in other places to even think this. Carolina Beach boardwalk is better than it used to be, but it's still dreadful, to say the least. Puhhlease.
Are there only 10?
Coney Island boardwalk; 2.5 Miles. Atlantic City Boardwalk; 4 miles and 60 feet wide in places... covered end to end with successful businesses and people. How did CB make it on this list?
