Two arrested for embezzlement at Calabash dental office

CALABASH, NC (WWAY) -- Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit have arrested two women on embezzlement charges.

Investigators say after a six-month investigation, police found that Jada Atkinson and April Winch allegedly stole $115,000 from Tidewater Dental Office in Calabash. They same the crime took place over a period of several years.

Both women were taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center. Bond was set at $20,000.
