SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY)-- The North Carolina Sheriffs' Association is holding its 90th annual training conference in Brunswick County this week.
The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is hosting more than 70 other state offices at Sea Trail in Sunset Beach for the event.
Sheriff John Ingram says the week-long conference helps teach leadership, risk management and how to better serve communities.
"It's just a great time to not only pick up some valuable information from the speakers we have lined up but also an opportunity for the sheriffs to network and share ideas," said Ingram.
There are also a lot of vendors at Sea Trail this week who are there to cater to the needs of the different agencies on hand.
