NKOTB's Jordan Knight to present award to Boys & Girls Club

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Brigade Boys & Girls Club has a reason to celebrate this weekend.

The group entered a video into Old Navy's Funnovation Nation contest for a $10,000 grant and won.

Saturday, Jordan Knight, the lead singer for late '80s boy band New Kids on the Block, will present a check and perform some of his hit songs.

The event is from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Brigade Boys & Girls Club at 2759 Vance Street in Wilmington.

Congratulations to the Brigade Boys & Girls Club. But, is there one child there who even knows who Jordan Knight or the New Kids on the Block are?

Jordan Knight is currently starring in Old Navy tv and radio ads, so is serving as spokesman. Bringing his music to a young audience for a free show is a smart marketing move. Guess he won't sing O-Face though. Lol. Xo

with a check...everyone sings! Kudo's the Brigade Boys & Girls Club. Spend the money wisely.

To the kids and the center it doesn't matter if they know who he is or not. They get the money and the center will be able to hopefully do some amazing things... and for the rest of us...... this is my birthday/christmas/ and ever other holiday wrapped into one!! Long live the BLOCK!!!
