'Obama Classic' basketball fundraiser to star Michael Jordan, NBA greats

President Obama, Michael Jordan and a group of past and present NBA stars will appear together on a New York City basketball court Aug. 22 for the "Obama Classic," a fundraiser and grassroots sweepstakes for the president’s re-election campaign.

A star-studded, pro-Obama exhibition game will feature Carmelo Anthony, Patrick Ewing, Sheryl Swoopes, Kyrie Irving, Alonzo Mourning, among other players, the campaign said in an email to supporters.

"Hit the court with Patrick Ewing and Melo? Trade stories with the President? This is the kind of stuff your kids will tell their kids, and no one will believe it until you show them a photo," wrote Marlon Marshall, the Obama campaign's national field director.

So Michael Jordan finally

So Michael Jordan finally shows his true self. He is now going to do fundraising for 0bama. Everyone who buys his shoes making him millions each year should remember this. You can vote with your cash and since the money goes from you to Jordan back to 0bama, you gotta think about voting with your money. Also when you look up to someone like Jordan, just because he was a great player doesn't make a great person or role model. I truly hope the news of Jordan raising money for 0bama spreads around all the msm and like 0prah, he starts to lose money from people breaking away from his brand because they now know his politics!

You actually believe that Nike shoes will lose money because he is part of a fundraiser for the President. You really need a cup of Irish coffee.Thats just like saying Rommeny will lose your vote because he missed 10 years of paying taxes.

Wouldn't it be nice if the

Wouldn't it be nice if the CAMPAIGNER-IN-CHIEF could spend a little time at the White House straightening out some of his self made mess's?

Be nice if the

Republicans are funny .You mean the same way President Bush did when he was in office.Republicans will never admit that the United States has been in trouble for awhile now, long before President Obama took office and if you think that it will turn around just like that if Rommeny get in office you are sadly mistaken.

The owner of the team with the worst record ever...

campaigning for the President with the worst record ever. Two peas in a pod.

with your wealth, I would have thought you'd be a good Republican.

You do realize you fall into the class of folks with sufficient wealth, he wants to redistribute what you have worked so hard to amass.

I don't think playing basketball will get you an exemption.

Would time not better spent on Bobcat woes?

duke you can't hate tarheels all your life..
