WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Smith Creek Park in northern New Hanover County will be closed to car traffic tomorrow as the cast and crew of the TV series "Revolution" shoot there.

The county says although there will be no onsite parking, walkers may access the park and walking trails. The lake, however, will be closed to all uses including fishing and boating access.

During the closure, the New Hanover County Parks Department encourages park users to visit Parkwood Park, located nearby at 4827 Canetuck Road. Newly renovated Parkwood Park includes a new picnic area, playground, paved half-court basketball court and paved walking trails.

Smith Creek Park and lake will reopen for general use Friday.
