WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- An update to a story we told you about Friday: the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina raised more than $20,000 and collected 3,300 pounds of food over the weekend as it streamed a live show on its website for 24 straight hours.
The telethon was part of Hunger Action Month.
The amount raised was equivalent to more than 102,000 meals.
