NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (NEWS RELEASE FROM SHERIFF ED MCMAHON) -- On August 9, 2012, Corporal Christopher Roseblock of the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office was involved in an off-duty incident that was brought on by a medical condition.

An incident report was taken and the District Attorney’s Office was consulted. Both the District Attorney and I agree that this was brought on by a prescribed medication Corporal Roseblock took.

We also notified Sheriff’s Training and Standards. Corporal Roseblock is on approved leave status and receiving medical care.

Our prayers are with him and his family during this time.

Sheriff Ed McMahon

Rumor mill

The Sheriff is quick to put suspicions aside and to take steps to ensure his deputies medical needs are met, and took some of the stress off of family members. He is taking care of his troops. This speaks well of his leadership abilities.

Wow!

Wow...why is this news???? So you're putting a law enforcement officer's unknown medical condition on blast for the public? I'm sorry, I don't understand again why this is news worthy...

It's "news" only because

It's "news" only because this station always want to be FIRST in trying to create a controversy!!

It is in the news because

It is in the news because this NHSD employee this isn't the first time he has stepped out his boundaries. He violates and lives above the law. Just imagine if your child was a manager and some idiot employee pulled his gun on them ?

So its good this is up here, because once this guy goes further then what he already has it will be documented. And I will just sit back and say; told you so.
