READ MORE:

WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -– Public access to Sutton Lake in Wilmington will be closed temporarily two times over the next week to support the filming of outdoor scenes for the new series, Revolution. The public-access point on Sutton Lake Road will be closed from 6 a.m. to midnight Sept. 13 and Sept. 20.

Public access will be available as normal the rest of the week and weekends, but space at the access point will be reduced until Sept. 21 as the film crews set up and remove equipment. Members of the public are encouraged to be careful around the site.

Sutton Lake is a man-made cooling reservoir for the L. V. Sutton coal-fired power plant owned by Progress Energy Carolinas. The utility maintains the lake and the public-access point.
