WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The hit ABC show and Emmy winner for Best Comedy "Modern Family" returns.
Recently we talked with star Sofia Vergara about the new season and her career.
She's been nominated for an Emmy three times. But believe it or not, the star says she was nervous about playing the role of a young, beautiful Latin woman.
"At the beginning I was a little nervous, actually," Vergara told "Good Morning Carolina" anchor Ashley Jacobs. "Because of my character, Gloria, I felt that maybe people were going to hate her because she was kind of like a gold digger, the very hot Latin marrying a lot older guy, and she had a kid."
You'll see her role change this season. Gloria is expecting a baby, which will bring more tears and laughs to the show.
"Modern family" starts at 9 p.m. right here on WWAY and ABC.
