RALEIGH, NC (AP) -- The final days of the presidential campaign are bringing more of President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney's surrogates to North Carolina.
Obama's campaign says the wife of Vice President Joe Biden will visit Democratic campaign offices in Asheville and suburban Charlotte on Friday. Jill Biden is returning after her visit last weekend was postponed because of Hurricane Sandy.
Planned Parenthood national President Cecile Richards also planned to travel Thursday to Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte to support the Obama campaign.
At least three out-of-state Republican congressmen already have visited North Carolina this week on behalf of Romney.
In the governor's race, Republican Pat McCrory planned Thursday to visit restaurants in Mocksville and Lexington. Democrat Walter Dalton scheduled stops at Greensboro, Durham and Chapel Hill voting places. In-person early-voting ends Saturday.
