Battleship North Carolina Half Marathon using different traffic patterns

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The Battleship North Carolina Half Marathon is happening this weekend and Wilmington Police want you to be alert for runners and aware of traffic shifts.

The Isabel Holmes Bridge will have one eastbound lane closed with cones from 7:00 until 9:30 am. The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will also have one eastbound lane closed from 7:00 am until noon.

The Beach to Battleship

The Beach to Battleship Marathon 2 weeks ago caused horrible traffic delays. Someone needs to tell these people to find somewhere else to run and to stop blocking lanes on the bridges. The roads are built for cars not people to run on. There has to be some other area of town they can go run around and have their fun without causing constant traffic delays.
