Funeral arrangements made in death of Bladen deputy fire marshal


BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY)-- Funeral arrangements have been made for John McCelland Hall, 48, who died Wednesday of a heart issue from getting sick during a call over the weekend.

A visitation will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Galeed Baptist Church in Bladenboro followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm. Hall will then be buried at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Hall lived in Bladenboro and was also the Deputy Fire Chief of the Clarkton Fire Department and was an active firefighter with the Bladenboro Fire Department. In addition to his emergency services involvement, Hall was also the American Red Cross representative for Bladen County.

Prayers to the families of

Prayers to the families of the two firefighters that passed away this week. David Tatum, a long-time member of service in the White Oak, Tar Heel and Dublin communities died Tuesday, Nov. 6, and John Hall, deputy fire marshal for the county who served the Clarkton, Bladenboro and Elizabethtown communities during his years of service, died on Wednesday, Nov. 7.As a member of the EMS/FIRE/LAW families,these passings also hit us hard,as well as the biological families.These two heroes will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Men.
