Little change as recount continues in McIntyre-Rouzer race

READ MORE:

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- The recount continues in the Congressional race between Rep. Mike Mcintyre and David Rouzer.

Bladen County's recount shows the eight-time incumbent McIntyre losing two votes and Rouzer, a state senator from Johnston County, losing four.

Lenoir county has Mcintyre picking up a net of three votes.

In Robeson County the recount has McIntyre losing six with Rouzer adding one.

Cumberland and Pender counties saw no change. The recount continues in other counties in the district.

Rouzer called for a recount last week after a vote canvass showed him trailing McIntyre by just 655 votes, which is less than one percent of the votes cast in the contest.

And when the dust clears

Mike can go to Congress with that new nickname "Landslide Mike".

And perhaps he'll go with the lesson learned.

You don't have the support of the Lumbee Tribal Council anympre. You can'nt win re-election by bringing home the bacon and entitlements. Listen to your new constituency. Work to curb entitlement spending.

Every study shows you can increase taxes on those earning more than $250,000, which is what the White House and those liberal fools like Pelosi propose.

Without spending cuts, you're just pushing the fiscal calamity can down the road by a few weeks.

Read the studies, Congressman. They're out there if you take the time to read them.

Thanks for spending my money!

The GOP Dads got together and did their thing. They did a pick of their own rather than look at what the electorate had said just two years ago and with a decidedly Dem edge. So with the new map they drew they felt they could cram a crony down the throats of the middle and the constitutionalists. It did not work boys! The Dems stuck together and the GOP fractured at it's own hands. Mike won! That is how it is and now Mr. fiscal conservative and I am sure with the full backing of Rabon and gang has the recount going that does not come out of the pocket of their pants but out of the pocket of all us taxpayers. So here is the way it is going to shake out. Mike is going back to DC. It is going to cost us more because the 'good old boys club' just can't stand it. Here is a bit of advice GOP. Next time side with the candidate that actually can take Mike out. Is it not obvious to you by now, David was not and is not that candidate? Dems, congrats. GOP, you got exactly what you deserve. Question is, have you learned anything? My guess is, no!
