Police arrest teen for midday break-in

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police say they've charged a teenager for breaking into a home in the middle of the day.

Oshea Ishmel Vaughn, 18, is charged with breaking and entering and larceny.

Police say they got a 911 call just after noon Monday. A neighbor said a man was trying to get into a nearby house, and then said the same man was ringing her doorbell. Officers responding to the scene say they spotted Vaughn coming out the side door of 592 Sharease Circle onto the balcony. The officers caught him and say he had two wallets and a coin that the victim was able to identify.

Vaughn is in the New Hanover County Jaill under $5,000 secure bond.

Vaughn also has a pending charge of marijuana possession in an unrelated case, according to court records. Department of Corrections records show he was sentenced to probation for 2010 convictions for possession of stolen goods and drug possession.

High Bonds hold 'em Mr. DA!

Put the high bonds on these types & keep them there a couple of years if they have priors. By then, age 20, 21 they might rethink their path Before they start shooting people.

AGREE, make it 500,000 so he sits in there!
