Search continues for suspect in Elizabethtown store shooting
 

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) -- Elizabethtown Police are searching for a suspect who shot out the front door to Bo's Foods in the 304 S. Poplar Street Saturday night.

Police say they got the call around 6:45 p.m. When officers got to the store, witness told them a black male had fired several shots at a person who was walking out the door of Bo's. No one was hurt.

Police say the man targeted had been shopping in Bo's. When the suspect fired shots, the victim ran back inside the store. Police say the shooter was running behind the victim to just inside the foyer area while still shooting at the target victim. Once the victim was inside the store, the shooter ran away toward Martin Luther King Drive.

The gunman shot out glass front door. Investigators say it appears he fired six to eight shots.

Police have not made any arrests as they continue to investigate.
