RALEIGH, NC (NEWS RELEASE) -- Dexter Barlow, a retiree from Swansboro, plans to use his $114,957 Cash 5 prize to make repairs to his home.

Barlow matched all five numbers in the March 22 drawing. He learned of his big win while sitting at home on Saturday morning.

"I sat down with my laptop to check my numbers and saw I had won a few dollars on my other tickets," Barlow said. "Then I got down to the last ticket I had purchased. I looked at the screen, then back at my ticket. I did that about four times. That's when I started shaking."

Barlow also plans to use a portion of his winnings, worth $78,172 after taxes, to share with his children and save for the future. He purchased his lucky ticket at the Handy Mart on West Corbett Avenue in Swansboro.

"Wow," Barlow said as he held his check for the first time. "This is neat. I feel numb and excited at the same time."
