Chad Adams's last day; Big Talker becomes Port City Radio

READ MORE:

WILMINGTON, NC (PORTCITYDAILY.COM) -- Port City Radio, Wilmington’s first and only all-news radio station, will launch Monday, April 1.

Formerly The Big Talker FM, you can hear Port City Radio on 93.7 and 106.3 FM, and streaming online at portcityradio.com.

With the retirement of southeastern North Carolina’s most listened-to talk radio host, Chad Adams, officials with Hometown Wilmington Media decided to change the news-talk format of The Big Talker FM to an all-news format.

You can catch Reporters’ Corner at 7:41 a.m. weekdays, featuring Port City Daily Managing Editor Caroline Curran and reporters Ben Brown, Joe Catenacci, Christina Haley and Jonathan Spiers.

Then, in the 8 a.m. hour, local newsmakers will join Aimee Bowen for the Community Connections segment.

In addition to local news gathered and produced by the Port City Daily editorial team, you’ll hear traffic and weather every 10 minutes.

chad adams

As usual it's not broke, let's fix it.

Obviously Guesty111 and

Obviously Guesty111 and GuestTroller never listened.

Chad may have been nice

Chad may have been nice enough but he was from Americans for Prosperity, which is a Koch Brothers backed "non profit" that advocates for their political policies. There was such deep bias in his views. Can't say less of that on the air is a huge loss for society.

Best wishes

Chad always conducted himself with dignity. He exuded a keen intelligence coupled with professional integrity, interested more in ideas than personalities. Thank you Chad. The chatterati will miss you.

"The Moving Finger writes: and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."

I guess hate isn't selling

I guess hate isn't selling well now-a-days?? Beat it and stay out I say. Anything will be better than their daily anti-American rants. Nothing but typical "part of the problem not part of the solution" lowbrows. - Buh bye

Wrong answer..

Hate is selling off the shelves, just look who is sitting in the White House. The most divisive president in US history. He hates American more than the commies. But now if you are under the ignorant assumption that conservative talk doesn't sell, well just take a gander at Fox news...The NUMBER ONE rated news in America. Buh bye

Hooray! One less hate-radio

Hooray! One less hate-radio outlet.

Obviously you should have

Obviously you should have used a Q-Tip to clean all of the wax out
of your ears. Yes, Chad made no bones about being a conservative,
but he was always very respectful of his guests. That's why people
from both sides of the aisle were on his show. This being his last
day on the air, it was nice to hear his listeners and past guests,
democrats and republicans call in and than him for the non-hostile
venue he provided. Get you facts straight before you make a complete
idiot of yourself.

Troll

Why do you hate radio?

Leroy, I don't hate radio,

Leroy, I don't hate radio, just rightwing nincompoop talk radio.

The intelligent voice of the

The intelligent voice of the tolerant progressive liberal?

What a hateful thing to say

What a hateful thing to say for someone who's so "anti-hate".
