Mothers of Twins host consignment sale on children's items

READ MORE:

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Get in on some steals for the kids, and help out a Leland family that grew by five last year while you shop.

The Mother of Twins Club is hosting a spring consignment sale Saturday, and they're collecting diapers for the Matthews family. You may remember the homecoming for the Matthews quintuplets in September, and five babies means lots of diapers.

Former WWAY anchor Marcy Cuevas, a mother of twins herself, stopped by "Good Morning Carolina" to tell parents more about the sale.

"There's everything from highchairs, cribs, car seats, clothes, clothes, anything you really need to have a baby, you will find it there," she said.

It's all about the little ones Saturday, with the public sale kicking off at 8 a.m. You'll have just three hours to shop til you drop, and give a little, too, at the Elks Lodge on Oleander Drive in Wilmington.

Cuevas consignment

Five is too many children for any one family. I'm guessing we need to buy them a mini van so they can go to the Walmart.

Five kids is certainly too

Five kids is certainly too many, but they did not have a choice in this situation. But, maybe China has a good idea. Something to think about, especially in situatiions where parents have more kids than they themselves can afford. It would save the taxpayers a lot of money.

Perhaps, we can buy you ...

...a strong collar and a chain to secure you in the backyard where you belong, with the rest of the animals.

Families are welcome to have

Families are welcome to have as many kids as they wish. But these folks knew the risks they were taking when they embarked on the fertility drug route. Don't roll the dice if you can't afford to raise the kids.

China?

I'm forgetting, is this China where the number of children is regulated.....

But I will add don't breed what you can't feed.
