BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Brunswick County Sheriff's deputies need help identifying the owner or driver of the truck wanted in connection to the April 11 theft of a utility trailer from the town of Ocean Isle Beach and other thefts in the south end of the county.

Investigators say the decals on the side of the white pick-up truck in security camera images could be removable magnetic signs. They say approximately five trailers have been stolen over the past month from the south end of the county from Ocean Isle Beach to Calabash.

If you have information, call Det. Mike Murray at (910) 880-4942 or Det. Brian Higgins at (910) 443-5602.

I've been here at Ocean Isle since late Easter Sunday & will be leaving tomorrow. The first week I was here, there was a white Ford, extended cab truck that kept circling the west end of the beach late at night. I can't tell from the picture if that's a Ford, but the one I saw definitely was. It played loud music & had a very loud muffler! The truck would come up Starboard & sit, then turn right back toward the west end. There were, simultaneously,EXTREMELY loud booms...similar to fireworks but much louder...such as 1/4 dynamite maybe.

This went on through the next week, until Wednesday or Thursday. I'm inactive LE. Wish I had gotten a 10-27 but honestly, it went on for so long, I assumed there was patrol (though I never saw one)& thought it was just rowdy teenagers.
