Motorcyclist hurt after overnight hit-and-run in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A motorcyclist was injured during a hit-and-run in Wilmington early Wednesday.

According to dispatchers, the crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle happened at the intersection of Market Street and Darlington Avenue just after 12:30 a.m.

There's no word yet on the biker's injuries or his identity.

The police let people go with a citation when they find the guilty party. Don't think so? Ask.....unless someone is injured they don't even make an arrest when they locate the person who left the scene. Why not leave then? Check me if I'm wrong but I thought leaving the scene of an accident was pretty serious. Not serious enough to be arrested so just run!
