WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- Enjoying a nice dinner out at the beach tonight will also help some students working on their career path.
Tonight students from Cape Fear Community College's Hospitality Management program and Pineapple Guild student club will prepare and serve a three-course meal at Bluewater Grill's upstairs banquet facility along the Intracoastal Waterway at Wrightsville Beach.
The meal, which includes two glasses of wine or soft drinks, costs $35. The menu includes soup or salad, a choice of entree (Drunken Coconut Chicken, Rasta Pasta with Shrimp, or Jerk Spiced Pork Chop) and dessert. Proceeds from the event will benefit CFCC's Pineapple Guild and hospitality education scholarships.
"Events like these are an excellent way for our students to gain real-world experience," CFCC President Dr. Ted D. Spring said in a news release. "This will be a wonderful opportunity for the community to enjoy some delicious cuisine while supporting CFCC students. Bluewater Grill is a beautiful restaurant, and they are so generous to partner with us for this event. I think everyone will enjoy the evening."
The event is open to the public. Seating times are 6:30 and 7 p.m. For reservations, call Bluewater Grill at (910) 256-8500 or contact Diane Withrow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
