Burgaw police chief retires

BURGAW, NC (WWAY) -- Burgaw said goodbye to Police Chief Bill King, who retired today. The town celebrated his career during a luncheon at the fire station.

King was a member of the town's police department for about 15 years, including the last five as chief.

He's succeeded by Montrina Sutton, a 20-year veteran of law enforcement, who has spent the last four years at Burgaw PD.
