WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A sex crime charge against a former Wilmington firefighter is heading to a grand jury in Virginia.

The grand jury in Fairfax County will consider a charge of inanimate object sexual penetration against Robert Thomas Hester, according to a clerk for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court there. The clerk says records show a destruction of property charge against Hester will not be prosecuted.

Police in Virginia arrested the Elizabethtown man on the charges in March after an incident at a hotel March 19 involving a woman investigators say Hester knew.

The Wilmington Fire Department fired Hester April 15, because he is still in custody and cannot return to work. Hester has reportedly appealed his termination.

The Fairfax County Circuit Court Clerk's office says Hester is due back in court May 23.

It was a Blow Up Doll which was the victim here!!!
Y'all have some compassion...OK?

All the trappings of a showcase trial.
Possibly some "kinky" sex.
Interpersonal relationship failures
A fireman
And best of all - a kinky SOB from out of state, allowing VA to put on this trial to show it's a bastion of conservative values.

Interesting that they dropped, without question, the hotel damages charges.

Very strange

Wonder if it is illegal to use a condom in Virginia. Those are inanimate objects.
