WPD arrests three more for April robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington Police have arrested three more people in connection with a robbery last month.

Police initially arrested Willie Lynell Sellers Jr., 21, April 16 for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary stemming from an incident the night before at 1110 Navaho Trail after he suffered a facial injury from the victim. Police have since charged Sellers with felony probation violation. His bond has been increased to $80,603.

Since then, police arrested Darrell Kimble Maupin, Joseph Ryan Baker and Sylena Nicole Gaines in connection with the crime.

Police say Maupin, 55, has a lengthy record in several states. He is charged with first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is in jail under $500,000 bond.

Baker, 34, is charged with first degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor probation violation. He is in jail under $70,000 bond.

Gaines, 20, is in jail under $1,000 bond charged with first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
