ILM warns travelers of 'Eastbound & Down' shoot impact

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- Wilmington's airport is warning travelers about the possible impact of a shoot in Hollywood East later this week.

HBO's "Eastbound & Down" is shooting a scene at the intersection of N. 23rd St. and Princess Place Dr. Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. According to a film permit, the scene involves two cars arriving at a traffic light, where one car challenges the other, and they take off for about 50 yards toward Plaza Dr.

ILM says its customers should plan for likely traffic delays on their way to the airport or simply avoid the intersection during shoot.

Don't delay air traffic bringing celebrities to town, but who cares about people using the road?

They don't have to stage that scene...just wait and it will happen for them anyway...and it won't cost them a dime! They will get a few red light runners thrown in for free as well :-)
