WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a woman missing since the weekend went to a downtown Wilmington bar Saturday afternoon.

Shannon Rippy’s mother says she last spoke with her daughter Saturday night. Bobbi Lewis says she and Rippy’s aunt went to Rippy’s S. 5th St. home Sunday afternoon to take her out for her birthday, but she wasn’t home. They left presents in front of the house. When they came by Monday, the presents were still there. That’s when they called police.

Police say relatives and friends say Rippy was last seen Saturday at a bar downtown around 7 p.m. A photo from a surveillance camera shows her walking into The Husk on S. Front St. at 3 p.m.

Rippy is described as a white female, 5’5″, 100 lbs, with dark brown hair. She has a red tint tattoo of a butterfly on her left shoulder.

Anyone with information on where she may be should call WPD at (910) 343-3609 or text-a-tip to Tip708.
