Fair Bluff cop faces secret peeping charges

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- A police officer in Fair Bluff faces secret peeping charges after he went missing last week.

Lake Waccamaw Police Chief Scott Hyatt says Donald Brian Beauchaine faces several counts of secret peeping.

Hyatt could not release many details about the investigation, but he says there is at least one victim they know about. The SBI is examining the evidence they found in Beauchaine's Lake Waccamaw home after someone reported a camera inside.

Hyatt says Beauchaine is no longer employed at the Fair Bluff Police Department. Fair Bluff's police chief referred us to the town manager for any questions, but he has not returned our call.

Hyatt says crime involving police officers should not reflect on all law enforcement.

"In particular when a police officer gets involved in crime, it hurts all law enforcement officers," Hyatt said. "I would hope the community understands the actions of one bad cop doesn't reflect the badge as a whole."

The Columbus County Sheriff's Office says Beauchaine is currently in the hospital, but did not tell us why. Deputies say they cannot serve Beauchaine the warrants until he is out of the hospital.

Why hasn't kblue posted yet about this guy? Guess since he works for this department he is keeping his trap shut. Hitting a little too close to home for him? He likes to spout off with stories like this.

Because K_Blue's the MAN. He fights corruption, not mere speculation.

He couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.

I am becoming even more famouser now! Hi mom! Look no hands!! I have to give a shout out to my partner in crime PublicAvenger, He's great too, about fighting my way out of a paper bag, WAIT!!! Ol kidblue aint busted a rhyme in a while, so "Gustey Wind Bag"? This ones for you!!!

NEVER EVER EVER BE LIKE KBLUE!!!
Say's who!? Say's Kblue!!!

I've tried many times to reply to your 'wit' but WWAY wouldn't post my comment. I think they are afraid I'd hurt your widdle feelings. Speaking of dirty cops, remember when you took police action in Wilmington and were suspended? Too bad you were not arrested for impersonating an officer.

I am thankful I'll never be like you, because you are just a short step away from officially being considered mentally retarded.

That's public record Dumpling, You should march you're self right down there, pick a felon, and ask them to see my file! Then post it on here and I will buy you a friend so you will have one! LOLOLOLOL!!! Say's who!? Say's everyone's buddy Kblue!!!

Richard, I hope you do realize you continue bring the Fair Bluff Police Department into a bad light being as you are an officer there. As I've told you before, I know all about you and the stunts you pulled when you were with Northwest. Now you just get online and look dumb. You seem familiar with the buying friends process, is that what you do?

I ask that you list any and all 'stunts' I pulled in Northwest. Not rumors, 'facts'. (Documentation) Then I ask, how am I bringing 'any' Department into a bad light? By making crooked Cops look bad? Maybe being funny? (To those of us who are not crooked) Until you list the factual 'stunts' and Documents to back them? I will no longer comment on your post's. You will more than likely start shaking after an hour or so, then sweat profusely, Then beg me to comment on your post's. You have lied for the last time, now I can prove it. Bring on the 'stunts'!!!! Say's who!? Say's Kblue!!!

Remember when you pulled over the gentleman in Wilmington using a Northwest police car? Remember how you lost your take home car privilege? Does that ring a bell Ricky? Too bad you were not arrested for impersonating an officer since you were outside of your jurisdiction and that man had not committed a crime. You had a personal issue with him.

And if memory serves me correctly (and it does) you were demoted from sergeant. Any of this sound familiar Ricky?

Now keep up your promise and please don't reply to me.

I hope he gets the help he needs.

If anyone has a family member with compulsions like this be aware that strange desires can arise from neurological issues. Heart disease and stroke, for example, can be a cause of Othello Syndrome, a kind of malignant jealousy that can make men think their wives are having affairs and they have to spy on them:

Closed head injuries, such as brain injury from IEDs in the military, can have resulted in previously normal upstanding individuals doing very strange out of character things.

Early onset progressive dementias such as Behavioral Variant Frontotemporal Dementia can cause abnormal sexual behavior, like compulsively telling dirty jokes, being attracted to children and exposing themselves:

If your loved or family member one is displaying this kind of behavior, please get them help.

The best "help" he can get, is not to be judged, until all the facts are presented.

Then again, for hypocrite, psycho-babble, hustlers. That's hard to do. Since they also play "Mr. Perfect Know It All". It's a part of their scheme.

Here's another solution to "Casting Judgment Disorder", and "Psychology Nonsense" and "Guilty Until Proven Innocent Syndrome" it's called.....

But I warn you. The Psychology "Experts" are strongly against it.

This fellow may have nothing wrong with him and be completely innocent, but folks reading the article may have family members who have them at their wits end with behavior they can't understand, like obsessively recording conversations. It happens far too often and it gets little recognition, as families hide the problems in embarrassment. I'd like to see them feel comfortable reaching out for help from health care providers. One of my childhood friend's mothers was a prisoner in her own home with a jealous husband, who later committed suicide.

Okay, I get it. Just like your stance on Payton Strickland. From what I remember, you could have cared less that he didn't get his day in court.

Strickland will stand before the Lord.

God eventually judges us all but don't we pay taxes for the courts to do something as well?
