video After confirming with multiple sources that Chief Tim Jayne took his station vehicle to Myrtle Beach last year for a bachelor party, struck an officer in the gut while at the party, has ordered officers to work on his home and on neighbors' homes, along with reporting about a Leland cop shooting fellow officer Sherry Lewis between the legs at least 12 times with simulation ammunition during a training exercise, we reached out to David to see how his office was handling the allegations.

Local sheriff's deputies train with underwater robot

video The New Hanover county sheriff's office is hoping some new technology will help them with underwater searches. Thursday, sheriff's deputies were learning how to operate the department's new remotely operated vehicle. In situations not conducive for divers, the machine will help deputies with search below the water's surface. The department acquired the remotely operated vehicle through a port security grant. It's equipped with all the latest technology from sonar to a GPS.

5-0 vs. 5-0 on Friday...Laney @ Hoggard

video Laney and Hoggard are the only two high school football teams in our neck of the woods with undefeated records. Both teams are 5-0, but only one will be 6-0. The Bucs and Vikings will square off on Friday night at Hoggard High School.

Sharks agree to new lease terms with the city, team gets new skipper

video The Wilmington Sharks will have a home at Buck Hardee Field through the 2016 baseball season. There's an option for five more years after that. The Sharks also have a new head coach. In fact he's a native of Columbus County.

Pender School Board to interview 10 for superintendent slot

The Pender County School Board is moving forward on its search for a new superintendent. The board says it received 28 applications to replace Allison Sholar, who is moving to Currituck County.
