Vice President Joe Biden to return to NC next week

Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to return to North Carolina next week for another campaign visit. President Barack Obama's re-election campaign said Wednesday that Biden would come to the state next Tuesday. The campaign confirmed later he would travel to Charlotte and Asheville.

Marine charged in cabbie assault released from jail, runs from reporters

A Marine charged with attacking a Surf City cab driver earlier this month is out of jail. Adam Kinosh appeared in Onslow County Court today for charges related to the September 10 attack.

Brunswick Co. deputies pass out fliers as search for missing girl continues

video Deputies have checked reports of the man and girl in Brunswick County, but they have not led to anything so far. Investigators say to keep an eye out. They are even distributing fliers to hotels in the county.

FIRST ON 3 UPDATE: McDaniel appeals firing from New Hanover County

New Hanover County has received a notice of appeal from fired Parks, Gardens and Senior Resources Director Jim McDaniel. A county spokesman says it could take more than a month before the appeal is heard.
