A homeowner arrived home this morning to find a gray older model car in the driveway. Two black males exited the residence and the victim was shot by the suspects.

An eight-year-old boy died Friday after a hunting accident in Bladen County. Family and friends gathered in Clinton for James Ethan Bartley's funeral today. Meanwhile, his friends at school mourned their classmate.

Leaving West Bladen to coach at East Bladen is like going from Duke to UNC. It's just not common. Back in May Ken Cross resigned as the West Bladen boys basketball coach to coach at East Bladen. It's been an adjustment for both the players and Cross, but it's a good adjustment.
