Neighbors rallied together last night to try to save a Leland home. Although the house at the end of Jennifer Court suffered significant fire damage, neighbors were able to help contain the fire and even saved a few puppies. Full story...

Thirty-two acres of real estate off US 17 is for sale if you can beat the current $1.5 million bid. Brunswick County is selling the old Community Hospital. Last night, commissioners accepted one bid, but it's not a done deal yet. Full story...

Things got heated at Monday night's Brunswick County Commission meeting over how Commissioner Charles Warren handled last week's DSS board meeting. The commissioners voted to have a hearing next month because of the fact that Warren ejected a board member and a reporter. Full story...

The SBI has been requested to investigate the cause of the house fire on Starfish Lane. Due to the complete destruction of the house, the cause of the fire remains undetermined. The investigation is ongoing. Full story...
