video At last night's Leland Town Council meeting, Town Manager David Hollis revealed that Police Chief Tim Jayne has been on probation for months. In fact the reprimand came the very same night we first reported on the issues inside the Leland Police Department.

video More than a dozen local D.A.R.E. programs have been set up in North Carolina, but one in our area has closed-up shop. The D.A.R.E. program in Leland is no longer around, but what has some supporters angry is what was done with the dollars raised.

Brunswick Co. DSS having trouble finding an attorney

It was business as usual for the most part at the Brunswick County Commission meeting Tuesday night. The agenda followed the standard budget and report items. Work continues extending water and sewer services. This meeting lacked the fireworks of a previous meeting when Commissioner Charles Warren was asked to leave and then was escorted out.

'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans to spend the night in jail

"Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans of Oak Island was arrested again Monday evening. According to Brunswick County Sheriff's Office spokesman Del Routh, Evans was brought in on a charge of violating a domestic violence protection order.

FIRST ON 3: IRS hits Navassa with $35k penalty

videoThe IRS has issued a nearly $35,000 fine to the Town of Navassa. When reached by phone this morning, Mayor Eulis Willis said the council has not yet talked about the penalty, but it does have the town's lawyer working on it.
