videoFor more than thirty years, South Brunswick High School art teacher Katie O'Neil has been teaching her students through an artist's eyes. The Teacher of the Week uses art to break down barriers and cliques and to teach life lessons. One of her favorite lessons is to remind students when a piece breaks they should just say 'Oh well!'

Martin beats out Brunswick County's Lewis for Chief Justice

Chief Justice Mark Martin has won election to an eight-year term on North Carolina's Supreme Court. He beat Superior Court Judge Ola Lewis of Southport capturing about 70 percent of the vote, according to returns tabulated by The Associated Press.
