Whiteville fight mom case delayed

Aneshia Cartret was scheduled for court in Whiteville Tuesday morning but her case has now been moved to June 14. An attorney representing Cartret asked that the mom's case be continued for another date; the court granted the request.

Town manager's impersonation case continued

The impersonation case of Chadbourn Town Manager Stevie Cox has been continued to June 6. Cox was scheduled for court Tuesday at the Columbus County Courthouse. Cox was not present but his attorney asked the court to continue the case to a later date.

Frog out of jail on $500,000 bond; Teary Soles wishes him well

video A judge today set a $500,000 bond for Allen "Frog" Strickland, the Columbus County teen accused of vandalizing the law office and home of Sen. R.C. Soles over the weekend among other offenses. Within 90 minutes of the hearing ending, Strickland was already out of the Columbus County jail, according to a booking officer, who said a local bail bond company posted the bond.
