On August first of last year, Mr. Cooke allegedly robbed the Le So-Lay gift shop. A second defendant was captured, but police are still looking for Mr. Cooke. Detectives say Jason Stokes and Eugene Grady robbed a 23-year-old man leaving a bar in the 100 block of Market Street. One of the suspects reportedly held a gun to the man's head, while the other searched his pockets, taking cash and a cell phone. Stokes and Grady are still at large. She has blonde hair, brown eyes and is five-foot-nine. Her last known address was on Sloop Point Road in Hampstead. Fugitive Files![]() TextWilmington police need your help catching a man wanted for robbery. Donald Brian Crowell has been identified as a suspect in a gas station robbery on Carolina Beach Road. On March 3, detectives say Crowell entered the gas station's convenience store and demanded money from the cash register. He then grabbed the cash and fled. Fugitive Files![]() TextA registered sex offender is back behind bars for failing to notify deputies of his most current address. New Hanover County sheriff's deputies had been looking for bryon white for months. Deputies arrested White on March 10 after an anonymous tipster told authorities where he was. White told detectives he was living in areas across Wilmington and had forgotten to register a permanent address with authorities. His most current address: the New Hanover County jail. Fugitive Files![]() TextThanks to your help the Pender County Sheriff's Office have caught their man Authorities arrested Maurice Jones Tuesday night in Burgaw. Officials say Jones was running from his prison sentence. Jones is in the Pender County jail under a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is March 14. Police arrested Kevin Mitchell Mayes of Wilmington Tuesday morning. He's charged with breaking and entering of a coin-operated machine and property damage. He is out of jail on $800 bond. Fugitive Files![]() TextPolice are looking for a man who didn't show up for his prison sentence after he was found guilty of selling heroin. Jimmy Drakeford is wanted by the Wilmington Police Department. A police spokesperson says Drakeford was supposed to go to court on Valentines Day. A judge would have sentenced him to at least 18 years behind bars. Drakeford's last known address is on estate road in Wilmington. He's wanted by the Wilmington Police Department for possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin and for the sale of a counterfeit controlled substance. Smith also goes by the alias Bumble Bee. Fugitive Files![]() TextJust hours ago police officers arrested a man featured on last week's segment of Fugitive Files. Maurice Auther was wanted on charges of possession of stolen goods. A spokesperson for the Wilmington Police Department says officers searched Auther's downtown home a couple of weeks ago and fund numerous stolen items. Police arrested Auther earlier this afternoon. Maurice Auther is wanted on separate charges than his brothers. The Wilmington Police Department has warrants out for Auther arrests after they found stolen goods in his home in downtown Wilmington. Auther's brothers, Antonio and Joshua are still wanted on hundreds of charges for allegedly breaking into dozens of cars. Fugitive Files![]() TextThe Leland Police Department has teamed up with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office to take a closer look at surveillance pictures of an armed robbery. It happened two weeks ago. Now, investigators are hoping someone is able to recognize the man in the enhanced photos. Detectives say the suspect went into the food lion off village road, and held it up at gunpoint and pistol whipped one of the cashiers. He told us he didn't commit any crime. But on Thursday Carrara walked into the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and turned himself in. He's now faced multiple breaking and entering charges. Carrara is wanted on multiple charges of breaking and entering. Investigators say he is also a person of interest in several home break-ins in the Calabash area.
