Teaching kids about sexually transmitted diseases can be a touchy subject, but it's one that some state lawmakers feel needs to be taught.
The state Senate has recently approved a bill that mandates schools provide information on STDs, specifically the human papilloma virus, or HPV, a widespread virus that affects millions of women each year.

Local pet stores are removing 11 brands of wet dog and cat food from their shelves after experts say the food can cause kidney failure and possibly even death. The recall includes: Sophisticat and Sophisticat Supreme, Authority, Award, Great Choice, Iams, Eukanuba, Nutro, Science Diet, Mighty Dog Pouches and Mixables.

In Texas Saturday, a woman reportedly stole a baby from a hospital by impersonating a nurse. She told the infant's mother she needed to take the baby for tests and then put the infant in her bag, removing the baby’s security bracelet and left the building.
