Two shot outside Nash Co. Courthouse

The North Carolina Highway Patrol and Nash County authorities are looking for two suspects after two people were shot Tuesday morning at the Nash County courthouse in Nashville just before noon.

Another cannon raised from Blackbeard's ship

Another cannon has been raised from the wreck of the pirate Blackbeard's ship off the North Carolina coast. Project Director Billy Ray Morris says that divers were able to raise one cannon and found another in the midsection of the wreck.

NC jobless rate dips to 6.7 percent in September
