videoA Brunswick county road, one neighborhood's access to the outside world, could be in danger of washing away. A WWAY viewer sent us a message on Facebook asking for our help. Jean Sidbury says Duke Energy Progress did some tree trimming in her area a few weeks ago. She says their heavy equipment did some serious damage.

NHRMC new Heart Center hosts grand opening

videoNew Hanover Regional Medical Center invites the public to a grand opening event for the new NHRMC Heart Center Outpatient services building building Thursday, July 24th from 2-4pm. There will be tours of the facility, live music, heart-healthy cooking demonstrations, exercise tips and a free service for the first 25 folks in the door.

CFPUA project could cost residents thousands

videoNew Hanover County and Cape Fear Public Utility Authority are installing new sewer and water lines in the Heritage Park Area. Connection to the lines is mandatory and residents must hire their own plumber. Folks living in the area are speaking out and they're not happy.

Brunswick Co. courthouse affected by statewide shortage

videoA shortage of court reporters is creating some issues for courtrooms across the state. Because of that shortage, the Brunswick County courthouse had to push back the trial date for former Northwest police officer Michael Hayes.

Sneak Peek at new Cape Fear Community College Humanities and Fine Arts Center

videoRising on Third Street in downtown Wilmington is the new Cape Fear Community College Humanities and Fine Arts Center. When complete it will seat between 1500 and 1600 people and bring world class performances and concerts to the Cape Fear region. New Director Shane Fernando gives us a sneak peek as the building takes shape and says the building should be open in the spring or early summer of 2015.
