Homeless Man Killed

An 18-year-old Fayetteville man is in custody in connection with the shooting death of a man known for helping the homeless and feeding wild cats throughout the city. Fayetteville police said Terrane Kulaia Dukes is charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in the death of 67-year-old Wolfgang Joppich, who died Sunday night from a single gunshot wound after he was found lying on the ground on a local street.
