On Friday night the Wilmington Hammerheads shutout the Dayton Dutch Lions at Legion Stadium. The highlight of the night clearly was goal from 49 yards out from former New Hanover High School standout Cody Arnoux.... On Thursday night we checked out another Sharks victory at Buck Hardee Field. The Sharks tied a franchise record on Thursday for most home games in a season.... On Wednesday we featured Whiteville Post 137 on WWAY. Whiteville is just two wins away from securing a spot in the state championship for American Legion baseball.... Thursday night’s sports segment featured a preview for the Wilmington Hammerheads home opener against the Harrisburg City Islanders on Saturday. We also traveled to Laney High School to check out girls soccer action between the Bucs and Vikings from Hoggard High School. In college tennis, the UNCW men’s and women’s teams collected individual honors at the CAA postseason banquet. Full story...

Wilmington native Josh Brock captured first place on the eGolf Tour on Saturday at St. James Plantation in Brunswick County. It's a $25,000 payday for the New Hanover High graduate and UNCW grad. We also went to Brooks Field to check out UNCW against Hofstra in a battle of the top two teams in the CAA.
